Green is definitely the new blue, and this new Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5168G Khaki Green Jumbo White Gold watch is ~$40,000 of “cant touch this.” It’s important to say that Patek isn’t hopping on a bandwagon here, as this is the second green Aquanaut — there was a very-limited-edition steel, smaller-case 5167 version that came out back in 2011. At the end of the day, yes, it’s another sports watch from Patek that most people will never get to see in person, let alone get the chance to buy at retail. This gave me pause in deciding if it’s even worth it to cover as a news piece. It is, of course. Patek chose the larger 5168 Aquanaut here, making for the “Jumbo” designation, which measures 42.2mm-wide and 8.25mm-thick.
