Replica IWC - Big Pilot’s Watch TOP GUN and Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar TOP GUN, Edition “Mojave Desert”

 IWC introduced its first "Mojave Desert" model, featuring a case made from sand-coloured ceramic, in 2019.


The special colour of this ceramic is inspired by the Mojave Desert, home to the Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake – the largest land area of the U.S. Navy. It exactly matches the uniforms worn by Navy pilots and is the result of a combination of zirconium oxide with other metallic oxides.


This year, the Schaffhausen-based watchmaker added two new references to the series using, for the first time rolex replika, the sand-coloured hi-tech material for the Big Pilot’s Watch case.

The first model, the Big Pilot’s Watch TOP GUN Edition “Mojave Desert” ref. IW506003, comes in a 46 mm x 14.6 mm  case that features a soft-iron inner cage to shield the IWC-manufactured 52110 movement from the effects of magnetic fields. 

This 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) calibre is equipped with a highly efficient Pellaton winding system that builds up a 7-day power reserve stored in the two barrels and displayed on the subdial at 3 o'clock.


Featuring a titanium case back engraved with the TOP GUN logo, this model will be limited to just 250 pieces per year.

The other new model is the Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar TOP GUN Edition “Mojave Desert” ref. IW503004 that houses IWC’s acclaimed perpetual calendar in a 46.5 mm x 15.6 mm sand-coloured ceramic case.

The ingenious mechanical program automatically recognises different month lengths and leap years. Its moon phase display correctly depicts the moon phase for the northern and southern hemispheres and only needs to be adjusted by one day after 577.5 years. Extremely user-friendly, the calendar can be advanced easily via a single crown because all displays are synchronised.

Also featuring an automatic Pellaton winding system that guarantees an autonomy of 7 days, the IWC-manufactured 52615 calibre uses virtually wear-free ceramic components and is visible through the sapphire crystal case back. Production of the watch will be limited to just 150 pieces per year.

Both models are water resistant to a pressure of up to 6 bar and secured to the wrist by sand-coloured rubber straps with textile inlays.
