Tom Cruise's Rolex Sky Dweller is serious arm candy

It seems as if Top Gun, that testosterone fuelled action-adventure movie franchise which gave Tom Cruise his seminal role as adrenaline-junkie fighter pilot Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell has given the 60-year-old actor a taste for aviation watches.

Eagled-eyed watch fanatics might have noticed that Cruise has been showing off a new timepiece from his extensive watch collection recently, which already boasts action-hero worthy timepieces and tool-watches such as the Breitling Chronomat (the grail of aviation horology) and the adventure-proof Panerai Luminor.fake watches uk This new bit of arm candy? The Rolex Sky Dweller.

It was the buzz of the watch industry when it was first shown in 2012, hailed as one of the most complicated watches that Rolex has ever made. Why? The stainless steel, black dialled, timepiece has a unique approach to telling the time unlike any of the other watches the brand produces. See, the dial of the sky-dweller indicates local time via the centre hands and 3 o’clock date window, but also indicates the month by the small rectangular window next to the hour markers. That aside, the 24-hour disk (in the middle of the dial, which you can see in the image) displays a second time zone, intended to be your home time.

Another function that makes this a genuine tool-watch is the fluted bezel (the moveable ring on the dial), which – unlike on other Rolex models – is functional on the Sky Dweller. It is used to adjust the two-time zones as well as the date and month.

It makes it the perfect wrist watch for global travellers or pilots, and as Cruise has become globally famous for his high-flying role as king of the sky, we think it’s rather appropriate. For more details, please visit:www.replicaswatches-uk.com

Mondaine Stop2Go Swiss Railways Watch – Generation 2

Virtually all of the watches Mondaine produces are visually inspired by the famous clocks that can be found throughout Switzerland’s railway stations, although the Stop2Go model holds a special place in the Swiss brand’s catalog, as it is the only one that actually emulates the unique motion of the clocks’ hands. With that in mind, although Mondaine has been producing wristwatches with this same core design since 1986, the Stop2Go is a more recent addition, with the very first execution appearing only slightly more than a decade ago in 2013.
