Hands-on with the Omega Seamaster ETNZ Chrono

While Omega’s new Globemaster range was one of the brand’s more discussed launches at this year’s Baselworld, its latest Seamaster Chronograph edition for Team New Zealand (ETNZ) was probably one of the most overlooked new releases — which is reflected by how difficult it still is to find official information about it. Fortunately, we at DiveIntoWatches.com had the chance to briefly handle one of these watches at Omega’s HQ in Bienne. Hence, orologi replica this photo-heavy essay on it for this week’s edition of Dive Watch Wednesday:

Earlier ETNZ versions were powered by Omega’s Caliber 3330, and limited to the same number as the year in which the watch was released (e.g., 2,013 for the 34th America’s Cup in 2013), so it’s probably safe to assume that we are dealing with similar specs for this watch (unless there is both a limited and an unlimited version). Also, we can assume that the 44-mm watch will most likely be dedicated to the 35th America’s Cup race in 2017, and that the crown at 10 o’clock is still a helium release valve (which still doesn’t make sense for a 300-meter water-resistant watch dedicated to sailing) – in this case it also acts as a date corrector btw.

All the above being the case, this Omega’s most essential feature is its 30-minute regatta timer at 3 o’clock, which measures the five-minute countdown to the beginning of a regatta. Another nice detail: all its chronograph-related features are in red.

The caseback features the “ETNZ” logo, as seen on the previous model.

First impressions: If you don’t like the typical regatta-timer look but are looking for a sailing-themed watch (and don’t mind getting some dive-watch-related features on top), Omega’s latest ETNZ chronograph (Ref. 212.92.44.50.99.001) might be something to look out for, since it also offers a very attractive color combination (also thanks to a titanium case and dial). We are not sure about the white date display – while it does offer some balance for the dial in combination with the 12 o’clock index, a gray one could have been an even better match. We do, however, orologi replica svizzeri love the overall look, the polished numbers on the matte ceramic bezel, the new regatta timer on the subdial and the red chronograph pusher at 2 o’clock.

The Carl F. Bucherer Heritage BiCompax Annual

Mondaine Stop2Go Swiss Railways Watch – Generation 2

Virtually all of the watches Mondaine produces are visually inspired by the famous clocks that can be found throughout Switzerland’s railway stations, although the Stop2Go model holds a special place in the Swiss brand’s catalog, as it is the only one that actually emulates the unique motion of the clocks’ hands. With that in mind, although Mondaine has been producing wristwatches with this same core design since 1986, the Stop2Go is a more recent addition, with the very first execution appearing only slightly more than a decade ago in 2013. As one of its most noteworthy new releases of 2023, Mondaine announced the return of the quirky yet charming Stop2Go, and one of the major updates to accompany this second generation of the model is that its crown has been entirely eliminated in order to provide the watch with a round profile that more closely mirrors the appearance of the famous Swiss railway clocks. Originally designed by Hans Hilfiker in 1944, the Bauhaus-style clock that s...
