Louis Erard keeps demonstrating remarkable skills in the integration of artistic craftworks in its timepieces. We recently wrote about their models with enamel and guilloché dials. This time, the focus is on the creation of fine stone and artisanal glass dials. Using the typical layout of the Excellence Régulateur model, with the hours counter at 12 o’clock, the central axis bearing the minutes hand only and the seconds hand sub-dial at 6 o'clock, the Swiss brand is presenting three limited editions, replika órák each comprised of just 99 pieces, in Aventurine, Lapis-Lazuli and Malachite. Their dials have two levels with the material being cut to reveal the regulator's snailed opaline dual counter. The Excellence Régulateur Aventurine ref. 85237AA32 features a dial made of dark blue aventurine, a material distinguished by its translucency and the presence of sparkling mineral inclusions that bring to mind a starry night.
