Alpina - Startimer Pilot Heritage

 Founded in 1883, Alpina has an important heritage that can often become a source of inspiration. Looking back to their "bumper movement" from the 1950s, the Geneva-based brand decided to develop its sixth Manufacture movement with this rare feature. The bumper movement was characterised by an oscillating weight that instead of turning 360° like  contemporary rotors, turned 120°. On both sides of its course, a small spring served to send the mass back in the opposite direction and facilitate the winding of the movement. Despite its effectiveness, rolex pas cher this concept gradually phased out in favour of the 360° rotor. Nonetheless, it remains highly sought-after by collectors.
