Armin Strom - Tribute 1 Black and Blue Editions

Following the successful launch of the inaugural 25-piece limited edition of the Tribute 1 last June, Armin Strom is now launching two new editions - each limited to 100 units - of their post-modern reinterpretation of the dress watch.

Both the Tribute 1 Black Edition and Tribute 1 Blue Edition are perfectly proportioned with their 38 mm x 9 mm case crafted from stainless steel with satin-brushed and polished finishes repliki zegarków. The distinctive angular lugs and the crown at 2 o’clock add character to the timepiece.

A slim polished bezel frames a dial enlivened by two key elements: an understated off-centre snailed dial displaying hours, minutes and seconds and, adjacent to it, the large barrel guaranteeing a power reserve of 100 hours and its sculpted bridge made of brass.

The plate around these two elements strikes for its granularity, the result of the grenage finishing. The manually polished hands are produced in-house by Armin Strom.

The beautiful ensemble is protected by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment.

Beating at the frequency of 3.5 Hz (25,200 vibrations per hour), the hand-wound manufacture Caliber AMW21 is equipped with a flat hairspring with a variable inertia balance wheel. It is adorned with Côtes de Genève, polished jewel sinks and a circular grained mainplate. All edges are hand beveled.

The “1 of 100” engraving remarks the exclusivity of this timepiece which offers water resistance up to a pressure of 5 bar (approximately 50 metres / 165 feet).

Matched to a black or blue alligator leather strap with a double folding clasp in stainless steel, the Armin Strom Tribute 1 Black Edition (ref. ST21-TRI.35.S21-AR.18.AL.M.32.cl) and Tribute 1 Blue Edition (ref. ST21-TRI.05.S21-AR.18.AL.M.32.cl) have a price of CHF 13,900.

Baume & Mercier celebrates summer 2025 with five new Riviera models

Baume & Mercier introduces five new Riviera models that capture the spirit of summer with fresh colours and the collection’s distinctive sport-chic style, expressed through the iconic twelve-sided bezel and a design that adapts effortlessly to every occasion. The first model marks the return of the white dial, previously seen at the relaunch of the collection in 2021. A second model, combines a gold-tone dial with a Baumatic movement. Complementing these are three new women’s references featuring pastel dials. The Riviera 10829 stands out for its radiant white dial, decorated with a wave and mountain motif and framed by a black outer flange. This aesthetic recalls the look of the Riviera Chronograph 10827 presented at Watches & Wonders earlier this year. The faceted rhodium-plated hands, along with the riveted Roman numerals and hour markers, are filled with white Super-LumiNova X1 that glows blue in the dark. A black seconds hand introduces a crisp contrast to the clean d...

Getting To Know Texas-Based Watch Brand Jack Mason

For a brand that’s been in operation since 2015, how is Jack Mason only now entering into our collective horological consciousness? Jack Mason’s Strat-o-timer GMT — a classically styled GMT featuring Miyota’s new 9075 flyer GMT movement — certainly helped put the brand on the map, but to truly understand story behind the Texas-based brand, we need to dig into the brand’s history and learn just how Jack Mason came to be. If the name Jack Mason sounds quintessentially American, there’s a good reason for that. Now, plenty of watch brands are established by watch enthusiasts looking to bring their passion project to life and market it to like-minded watch fans. That is not Cho’s story.
